A Little About Rachel
Rachel is 28 and works full-time as an Optometrist. Like many people, after Christmas she was feeling sluggish, low on energy, and unhappy with her fitness routine. She knew she wanted to make a change, but like a lot of busy professionals, she thought there just wasn’t time to fit the gym into her life.
The Struggle Before Coaching
Before we started working together, Rachel’s diet wasn’t great, and that left her with little energy or motivation to exercise. She would do bits of cardio here and there and even tried running for a while, but nothing really stuck.
When she did make it to the gym, she didn’t know what to do once she got there. The weights section felt intimidating, and because she didn’t have a plan, she never felt like she was making progress.
Rachel told me she was worried that starting a coaching programme would be too intense and take up too much time, meaning she’d miss out on the things she enjoys doing at the weekend.
